Drainage is about giving the water somewhere to go. We put in perimeter drains around the foundation to carry groundwater away, French drains to pull water out of a soggy yard, and stormwater systems that move roof and surface water off the property before it pools. Every lot sheds water differently, so the system gets built for yours, not pulled off a shelf.
Victoria gives drainage a real workout: heavy winter rain, rock that traps water instead of letting it soak away, clay that holds it, and older homes whose original perimeter drains gave out years ago. We dig down to the problem with compact excavators, break past the rock that’s trapping it, and set the drains and the grade so water runs away from the house instead of toward it.

From the Quote to a Yard That Drains
- We walk the site and find where the water goes. We look at where it pools, how the lot sits, and where the water could be sent. Then we talk it over and give you a written price and timeline.
- We dig the trenches and lay the drains. The excavator opens the trenches to depth, we cut out rock where it’s in the way, and the perimeter drains and stormwater lines go in, bedded so they keep carrying water for the long run.
- We route the water away and grade it back. We direct the lines to where the water can safely go, then backfill and grade the surface so runoff follows the drains instead of sitting.
- We clean up and check the flow. The ground gets put back and tidied, and we make sure the water moves the way it should before we call it done.
